KaamwaliBai.in exists because hiring domestic help in India — one of the most common household transactions of our lives — has almost no honest, calm, up-to-date information behind it. So we wrote it.
Our mission
Fair hiring, on both sides of the door.
Every guide, every template, and every calculator is written with two readers in mind: the household hiring, and the person being hired. When those two interests are treated as equal, the arrangement lasts. When they are not, everyone loses.
How verification works

Original research
Every salary figure comes from at least twenty households in that city. We do not use scraped or aggregator data.

Lawyer-reviewed contracts
Our contract templates are reviewed by practicing labour counsel in Mumbai and Bengaluru before publication.

Worker-side review
Every guide is read by three experienced domestic workers before we publish it — if they disagree, we listen.

Updated annually
Salary data is refreshed each January; contracts, whenever the law changes.
No commissions
We don't place workers, we don't take a cut from placements, and we don't sell your data. Ever.
Written in India
The team is based in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Every guide is written by someone who has hired — and been hired.
Open corrections
If we get something wrong, write in. We publish corrections publicly on every guide.
